Jaymini Philp

I am a lawyer specialising in corporate, commercial and data protection law and joined Bboxx in March 2022.

I spent years working in law firms in London but I knew I wanted to be part of a legal team within a clean energy business.

My role is to help the business grow whilst protecting it. I work closely with colleagues in every department, based in three different continents, on a huge variety of matters. On any given day I could be advising the business on whether potential acquisitions are viable, our obligations to our shareholders and investors, collaborations and pilot projects with e-mobility partners and smartphone manufacturers, risks to the business if we enter into certain commercial arrangements, protecting our intellectual property and our duties towards our customers with regard to protecting their personal data. The variety is a big reason why I love my job! I enjoy being involved in every aspect of the business’ operations.

In September 2022 I visited colleagues and customers in Kigali and Nairobi. Seeing the operations on the ground helped me understand my part in the wider Bboxx world. I felt a huge sense of fulfillment seeing the impact of electrification on our customers. I also met with Ampersand, our e-motorbike partner, and enjoyed a ride!

In March 2023 I visited colleagues and our suppliers in China, seeing first-hand how our products come to life. At Bboxx I know I am putting my experience to good use in a sector I truly care about.
