Why we exist
We started Bboxx to tackle a major global problem: energy poverty and the lack of access to essential products and services across Africa. Currently, over 759 million people in the world remain without access to electricity, of which 570 million are in Africa; and an additional 840 million are connected to unreliable grid. People in the developing countries, are also lacking access to other goods and services such as safe water (663 million people), clean cooking-gas (3 billion people) and financial services (1.7 billion adults remain unbanked).
Over a decade ago, our three co-founders began exploring energy solutions that would provide electricity and other utilities to the millions without them.
They saw that access to essential products and services (through data-powered logistics and innovative financing methods) is what individuals, businesses, communities and nations need to unlock their own potential and drive sustainable economic activity.
So together, they developed a super platform which is made up of two key pillars: Bboxx Pulse®, Bboxx’s proprietary fully integrated operating system and an extensive on-the-ground network, providing sustainable access to essential products and services.
Bboxx is the result.
How do we solve it
We provide technology and financing to empower individuals, businesses, communities and nations.
We are a vertically integrated business, and our super platform business model is based on two pillars: a digital highway Bboxx Pulse®, Bboxx’s proprietary fully integrated operating system and a physical highway with our extensive on-the-ground network to provide goods, services and utilities across Africa.
We offer African households, businesses and communities a highly convenient and affordable way to access life-changing solutions, through data-powered logistics and innovative financing methods.
We are expanding and scaling by forging strategic partnerships with governments and world-class corporates to provide access to any products and services to our rural and urban customers across Africa.
Bboxx Pulse® enables products and services access in a scalable and distributed model to individuals, businesses and communities.
