Ernest Akinlola

As the Managing Director of Bboxx Nigeria since 2020, Ernest drives the renewable energy agenda in Africa’s most populous country, with a proven track record of launching and scaling innovative and impactful solar energy solutions. He is passionate about transforming lives and unlocking the potential of communities through solar energy.

A telecoms veteran, Ernest has previously held senior positions on a global basis in  blue chip organizations, including CEO Ntel (formerly NITEL Nigeria), COO at Lycamobile UK, CMO Etisalat Nigeria (9 Mobile), Business Development Director, Blackberry Nigeria, Director Strategic Partnerships T- Mobile UK (EE), Head Commercial Partnerships, Virgin Mobile UK.

He holds a first degree in Applied Economics, an MBA from Manchester Business School, is a Fellow of the Certified Chartered Accountants UK (FCCA).
